Anything that is of value goes through a process. The amount of heat required to make a gold vessel is different from that required to make a plastic vessel. The intensity of pressure used to mold you determines the type of destiny you carry. But how does one know whether you’re still in the refiner’s fire? Many have assumed they are still in the refiner’s fire when it’s no longer God working on them. Some furnaces are not God’s furnaces but man-made, and some are demonic systems. The children of Israel tarried in a place outside of the timeline God had set; so anything after 400 years was no longer God’s work. Some ask, ‘Are the situations in Zimbabwe still God’s furnace, whose purpose is to refine her to become the greatest nation in Africa and the world? Or are these just man-made furnaces built out of ignorance?’ Daniel, reading the prophetic words of Jeremiah, took up the responsibility to pray for his people. Are you standing in the gap, praying to understand the heart of God for the nation of Zimbabwe and her people?

Apostle Paul advises us not to be ignorant of the devices of the enemy and calls believers to understand there is a war around us, but also there are workings of God. The key to any nation’s deliverance or breakthrough is her people who are prepared to stand in prayer and ask, ‘Lord, how long shall your children suffer?’ The Bible says, ‘If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray.’ To humble is to submit oneself to the will of God. Many, because they are angry at the government, pray for its removal, but the scripture says to humble yourself, meaning, ‘I am not praying for what I want, but what He wants.’ Are you able to bless the ruling party if God instructs you? One pastor almost beat me when I said, ‘Pray for your government,’ because people are not willing to submit to the will of God. They would rather speak their mind than the mind of God. Firstly, what has God said for the nation? Is the heat God’s furnace or demonic manipulation? As you pray, are you willing to humble yourself to the will of God and pray for His mind, even if it seems contrary to your beliefs?

Also, we need to understand that if it’s demonic, the fight is not with people but with demonic systems. The war is against the devil and his princes who destroy nations by adding heat in the form of difficulties, constraints, and struggles, and change the destiny of the nation. Zimbabweans need to understand how to seek the face of God to understand His thoughts for the nation and, from that place, execute God’s plan for her people. Daniel showed us how to discover the heart of God for His people, that is through seeking past prophetic words and decrees about the nation. One of those prophetic words is, ‘Zimbabwe shall be the Jewel of Africa.’ Could it be that all these difficulties have been the furnace of God sent to refine His nation to be that jewel, and instead of embracing the process, we are fighting the process? John Wesley said, ‘It seems as if God will not do anything unless man prays.’ When was the last time you prayed for your nation to seek God in humility for the destiny of the nation and her people, or have you ever prayed for the president? Prayer is not about which political party you like to enter into office; it’s about seeking the mind of God. God Bless You
