TWO Harare women in a polygamous marriage had to approach the courts last week after they failed to agree on a timetable to be intimate with their husband.

Fortunate Manhiri told Harare magistrate Meenal Narotam that Mutsawashe Chipwanya was disturbing her peace when she slept with their husband.

“l have my teenage children and l want to protect them from this monster,” she submitted.

“She comes to my home with my husband while drunk and they get intimate on my bed making sounds that my children hear.”

She also accused Chipwanya of threatening to poison her.

Chipwanya disputed the allegations.

“Our husband paid lobola to my family in 2021 and the problem is that my husband’s first wife does not want to accept the reality that she is in a polygamous marriage,” she submitted.

“We stay at the same house and whenever it’s my turn to be with my husband, she pours water on us while we are naked.”

The magistrate ordered the two live in peace.
