ORGANIZERS of the Miss Teen of The Universe Zimbabwe (MTOUZ) pageant  have officially launched their search for the ultimate national teen queen.

The beauty contest is scheduled for August 3 at ZITF grounds in Bulawayo.

In a statement read on her behalf on Tuesday, MTOUZ chairperson Nokuthaba Manungu said the main aim of the pageant is to promote heritage and culture.

“Participants for the pageant should be Zimbabwean and must never have been married, and have to hold a Zimbabwean passport.They must never have had photographic nudes or sexual videos and we are ensuring that models should bring at least a parent or guardian to bootcamp activities,” said Manungu.

She emphasized their intentions of being an inclusive pageant.

“We are running the pageant under the mantra Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo,Ilizwe lakhiwa ngabanini balo in line with vision 2030.We are also aiming at being impactful and fight drug and substance abuse,gender based violence,early child marriages and depression only to mention a few pressing social issues,” she said.
