ZIFA normalisation committee chairperson Lincoln Mutasa has admitted that he has not attended a Premier Soccer League (PSL) match in the last 12 months.

Appearing before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Sports yesterday, Mutasa further claimed that he watches the matches on television.

Pressed if it was normal for the chairperson of the normalisation committee to spend 12 months without going to watch any PSL match at the stadiums, Mutasa, who was visibly upset, quipped: “Is the season over yet,” drawing laughter from parliamentarians.

The former Dynamos administrator showed how he was divorced from the proceedings of the game despite being at the top of leadership.

He struggled for answers on basic questions exposing, himself that he does not fully comprehend his task.

He had to read from his notes after he was asked about his committee’s mandate.
