DANCEHALL singer Donald “Sniper Storm” Chirisa yesterday headlined a music gala at Chibara village in Hurungwe North under Chief Kazangarare.
The gala, which started from 10am to 6pm, was organised by the ruling Zanu PF party’s Hurungwe central committee member Terrence Mukupe.
At the gala, Sniper Storm shared the stage with the Zimbabwe Republic Police Band.
Mukupe told NewsDay Life & Style that the gala was aimed at talent search among rural communities.
“We have some rural youths who are talented in arts, including music. This is their first time to showcase their talents during this musical gala,” he said.
“We want youths to enjoy local talent, and encourage them to stay away from drugs that can affect their health and wellbeing.”
