Vykyboy shares his Indian experiences

SOUTH AFRICA-based Zimbabwean musician Victor Takudzwa Benison whose stage name is Vykyboy says his tour to India opened doors for other ventures.

Vykyboy, who performed in India in March in India’s Orissa State Bhubaneswar told Standard Style  that he got a chance to be welcomed  by a famous  footballer Diego Mauricio (Brazil national team-2011/12) who had played alongside Ronaldinho and Neymar who is currently playing for Odisha Football Club in India

“So upon my performance  in India at one of the Indian celebrated holidays Holi festival of colours we went to watch a football match where we met Diego Mauricio and Mourtada Fall, a Senegal professional footballer who liked my music,” he said.

“He then went on to introduce  me to Odisha Football Club’s president  Raj Athwal and we went to the studio where we worked with Indian music school and recording  studio Syncrocity and we recorded  the Odisha Football Club’s anthem song to be used in the upcoming  new season  2024/25.”

“The club went on to win the 2023 Indian Super Cup, its first trophy and It also qualified for the 2023/24 Asian Football Confederation Cup.”

The Afro-pop musician went on to perform on Mic drop which was presented  by Justpenthoughts  at Alley -Gourmet Cafe in India  and he is supposed  to have shows in collaboration with Syncrocity  music school in India at different  Universities  and other shows, which will be confirmed soon.

Vykyboy started his music career in 2016 recording his first gospel song titled I put my trust (producer Rigyan now known as unkut).

He is also a filmmaker and he is currently based in South Africa.

He has also worked with Dj Rimo Jackson  on a amapiano  song  called Ngisakufuna and he had to postpone  his release  of a collaboration  with Garry Mapanzure because  of his passing, but he is set to release it this year.
