WARRIORS captain Marshall Munetsi has expressed his appreciation for the renewed partnership with clothing brand 4May International, highlighting the boost it provides ahead of Zimbabwe’s crucial 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Benin and Nigeria.

The Warriors are set to host Benin at Moses Mabhidha Stadium in Durban, South Africa, this evening followed by a trip to Oyo, Nigeria, to face the Super Eagles five days later.

For these and future engagements over the next three years, the team will be outfitted in formal wear provided by 4May International, a departure from their previous travel attire of tracksuits.

This marks the return of 4May International, who previously sponsored the Warriors during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Speaking to the media, Munetsi conveyed the team’s gratitude.

“We are very grateful that 4May International came back on board, obviously for some of us who have been here knew that they were part of us,” he said.

“They used to dress us in a good way, so I think it’s very important for the national team to have sponsorship.

“We normally wear tracksuits, but it is also good that we wear suits and we greatly appreciate such sponsorship.

“It will surely give us a boost when we go and play our important games that are coming up.”

Munetsi also credited the new Zifa board with restoring confidence within the football community, attracting both individual and corporate partners.

“That’s the image we need as a football nation and having new leadership coming in and having sponsorship coming in like 4May is good for the brand,” he added.

“I am sure our supporters would also want to be associated with a team that dresses well.”

Elcy Chimedza, chief executive officer of 4May International, pledged to provide the team with exclusive attire for every national duty.

“Everything is now different, there is a national team wearing navy blue jackets and khaki trousers,” she said.

“The technical team is wearing soft badge grey and with navy blue, which also matches the national team and the support team are wearing all black inside.

“So we are going to make it new and different for every game, we need to keep it fresh and new, we need to keep improving and evolving.”

4May International is also the formal wear partner of the Zimbabwe Cricket senior men’s team, the Chevrons, demonstrating their commitment to supporting Zimbabwean sport.
