HARARE, Jan 29 (NewsDayLive)-Eagles seamer Alex Falao claimed his maiden first-class five-wicket haul as the hosts bowled out Tuskers for 166 in 46.1 overs on day one of the Logan Cup match at Harare Sports Club on Tuesday.

Falao reached his landmark in just 13.1 overs while conceding only 40 runs.

All-rounder Luke Jongwe was the only bright spark for Tuskers with a half century (72 off 93 balls).

However, he became Falao's fifth victim and the last wicket to fall for Tuskers, caught by Munashe Chipara.

Falao made inroards when he had Tuskers opener Nkosana Mpofu caught by Kudzai Maunze for a 12-ball duck leaving the visitors on two runs for the loss of one wicket after 2.2 overs.

Ernest Masuku scored 19 runs while Will Fraine got 18 for Tuskers.

At stumps, Eagles were on 152/2 after 26 overs trailing Tuskers by 14 runs.

Opener Tinashe Kamunhukamwe scored 51 runs off 35 balls before being bowled out by Masuku.

Dion Myers (48) was also bowled out by Masuku.

On the crease, Wessly Madhevere is yet to score after facing a single delivery and Kudzai Maunze on 48 from 69 balls.

The match resumes Wednesday.
