KUDZAI Kadzombe wants to take her talent grooming expertise to national level as she bids for a spot in the new Zifa board to be elected tomorrow.
With over 15 years of experience in community development and sports management, Kadzombe brings a wealth of expertise to the table.
Her achievements as director and chairperson of FC Dutch Football Academy are a testament to her dedication to youth empowerment, football development and leveraging sports for social impact.
Kadzombe’s impressive track record includes spearheading talent development programmes that have produced top players now competing in the Premier League.
Her ability to drive community development initiatives across diverse sectors has earned her a reputation as a strategic and effective leader.
Through FC Dutch Football Academy, Kadzombe has developed numerous talented players who have gone on to dazzle in the local Premiership and lower leagues.
Some notable alumni include the late Barnabas Mushunje, who played for Dynamos, Ngezi Platinum, Mutare City and Simba Bhora, as well as Musa Madhiri, Delic Murimba, and Donald Mudadi, who have all made a name for themselves in Zimbabwe’s top football league.
Kadzombe is committed to bringing her vast experience to the Zifa board to elevate Zimbabwean football.

“I am seeking a position on the Zifa board to contribute to a brighter future for Zimbabwean football,” she said.
“I believe our nation possesses immense talent and passion for the game, and with the right leadership and strategic direction, we can unlock our full potential.”
If elected, Kadzombe promises to prioritise transparency, commitment and responsible financial management.
She emphasises the importance of investing in youth development and collaboration with stakeholders to drive long-term success.
One area Kadzombe is eager to address is the refereeing department.
“Refereeing is a key component of the game, and it is critical that this portfolio is not forgotten, but developed concurrently with other facets of the game,” she said.
Kadzombe aims to ensure that Fifa grants are utilised effectively and that referees receive regular training and support.
Her goals include conducting three or more on-field refresher courses per year, reducing the number of referees in the PSL to improve quality, and promoting integrity and adherence to the national vision.
