Zimbabwe's strongwoman, Chido Maenzanise, is set to make history as she represents the country in the Official Strongman Games in Madison, Wisconsin, United States.
The Games, which run from December 5 to 8, will pit Maenzanise against several top athletes from around the world.
At 29, Maenzanise has already made a name for herself, lifting an impressive 280kg in the yoke event.
"I am proud to be Zimbabwean and I am confident that I will break the current record," Maenzanise told NewsDay Sport.
Maenzanise will battle it out with Scottish athlete Rebecca Roberts, who currently holds the title in the women's open division.
The Official Strongman Games is a premier international competition that brings together top athletes from around the world.
Maenzanise hopes her participation in the games will popularise strongman sporting in Zimbabwe.
"Strongman sporting is not very popular back home, but I hope that I will set a record for my fellow countrymen and women," she said.
