NEDBANK have renewed their sponsorship deal with Great Dyke ahead of next month's event.
The Nedbank Tour de Great Dyke is a grueling yet exciting 328km cycling event that flags off at Platinum Miner's Selous site and concludes in Zvishavane over three days with rest breaks in between the other Mimosa Mine sites.
Thus year's event is scheduled for November 7 to 9 with over 300 cyclists having expressed their desire and willingness to participate in the race.
Cyclists go through the Zimplats lap from Selous to Kwekwe and rest for the night. They will ride into Unki from Kwekwe to Unki Mine for the second lap and have a night rest at Unki Mine. They will conclude the race with the Mimosa lap into Zvishavane.
"We are delighted to announce that YAFM and Nedbank have signed a partnership agreement for the 7th Edition of the Nedbank Tour de Great Dyke," confirmed YAFM's head commercial Chenai Mpofu.
"We would like to thank Nedbank for continuing to repose their trust in our ability to organize the premier event on Zimbabwe’s cycling calendar."
Last year the race attracted both the young and old from 16 years to 82 being the youngest and oldest participants respectively.
The event also supports the charitable needs of the Gifted Children Foundation which pays for the tuition fees of brilliant but underprivileged children in the Great Dyke and beyond.

To date the foundation has supported over 100 children with some of them progressing to tertiary education institutions.
