Simba Bhora's quest for the league and Cup double will continue this weekend as they take on Highlanders in the Chibuku Super Cup quarterfinal match at their Wadzanai Stadium Sunday.
The Tonderai Ndiraya coached side have one hand on the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League after they opened a seven point lead at the top of the log following their 2-1 away win over TelOne on Sunday.
They take on a Highlanders side low on confidence after they gave away a two goal lead to lose 3-2 against Caps United in a league match at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
Winning either of the titles will be a huge achievement for the Shamva based side who were only promoted into the league last season and went on to spend the campaign fighting relegation.
Simba were also booted out in the first first round in last year's edition of the Chibuku Super Cup.
This year, they managed to progress past the initial stage of the competition after beating bogey side Herentals, in a match that went all the way to penalties.
They will go into the match as heavy favourites for so many reasons.
The high flyers are unbeaten in their last 11 matches in all competitions, winning eight including a come from behind 2-1 win over Highlanders a few weeks ago.
