Billiat scored the first goal of the match in the 13th minute benefitting from a defensive lapse from the home side.

Khama Billiat inspired Yadah to an important win over struggling Chegutu Pirates in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Baobab Stadium on Sunday.

With the win, Yadah moved to 10th on the league table with 29 points, five clear of the drop zone.

On the other hand Pirates remained at the basement of the table.

They have gone two months without a win having last won against Arenel Movers in June.

Billiat scored the first goal of the match in the 13th minute benefitting from a defensive lapse from the home side.

This was his 10th strike of the season with eight of those coming at Heart Stadium while the other two were scored at Baobab Stadium.

Mandlenkosi Mlilo ensured all three points with a goal two minutes after the break.

Chegutu Pirates coach Takaendesa Jongwe was disappointed with the outcome as he sought a winning start in his new job.

" I'm disappointed because we  wanted to win from the start but it was never to be

" I saw a lot of improvement in the second half.We did  enough which could have given us a goal or two but unfortunately lady lucky was not on our side

"Fom what I observed I  saw a starting point. There are good days to come," said Jongwe.
