MultiChoice Zimbabwe head of corporate affairs and public relations Charity Njanji said fans were gearing up to a season of excitement, as well as emotional highs and lows.

HOT on the heels of Euros 2024 comes the 2024/25 football season, which is set to bring months of the world’s best football action.

MultiChoice Zimbabwe head of corporate affairs and public relations Charity Njanji said fans were gearing up to a season of excitement, as well as emotional highs and lows.

“As always, the action is captured for football fans in Zimbabwe by DStv’s SuperSport, which will air all the games across a range of leagues, live and in HD,” she said.

On show will be the action from the major leagues of Europe, including the English Premier League and Spain’s La Liga as well as the Uefa Champions League.

Said Njanji: “The English Premiership resumes on Friday August 16 with a clash between Manchester United and Fulham at Old Trafford. Fans will be asking questions such as: can Manchester City secure an unprecedented fifth successive title or can Arsenal become a championship-winning team under Mikel Arteta? How will Liverpool adapt to the post-Jurgen Klopp era and can Chelsea build on the promise they showed at the end of last season?

“We also welcome back promoted Southampton and Leicester City, as well as Ipswich Town, who are back in the topflight league after 22 years.”

Njanji said the full football action will be available on DStv Compact, Compact Plus and Premium bouquets.

“The beautiful game is also available in parts to other bouquets. The DStv Family package, for example, has access to action from Spain’s La Liga, as well as the Europa League, while DStv Access provides a window into the NFS,” she said.

“Zimbabwe loves football and we are excited to be able to offer such a range of football for DStv viewers and we look forward to sharing a season of excellence and thrills with them all.”
