The Lincoln Mutasa- led body's tenure expired at the end of last month amid speculative reports that the entire interim executive would be booted out of office.

WORLD football governing body Fifa have extended the Zifa Normalisation Committee's tenure by another six months.

The Lincoln Mutasa- led body's tenure expired at the end of last month amid speculative reports that the entire interim executive would be booted out of office.

A Fifa delegation currently in the country met some stakeholders and decided to extend the committee's tenure but Cynthia Malaba and Sikhumbuzo Ndebele were not invited back.

Only Mutasa, Rosemary Mugadza and Nyasha Sanyamandwe will carry on with the mandate to establish a roadmap for Zifa executive committee elections, which should be held by December or January.

It will only be established after another meeting with the Sports and Recreation Commission whether Fifa  will announce replacements for Ndebele and Malaba.
