THE recent Nedbank Premier Netball League (PNL) fixture in Gweru presented a challenging homecoming for the local teams, JT High Fliers and City Angels.
Despite the difficult conditions, both teams struggled to secure victories over the weekend.
City Angels managed to claim a significant win against JT High Fliers, 44-30 in a city showdown but faced defeats against Mutare City (58-33), Falcon Manyame (50-35), Harare District (54-39), and ZDF Queens (66-31).
Similarly, JT High Fliers faced tough competition, with their most notable match being a narrow 49-44 loss against Beitbridge, followed by defeats against Harare City (36-60), Stormers (63-33), and Black Rhinos (63-28).

On the other hand, top-performing teams ZDF Queens and Black Rhinos demonstrated their dominance with convincing victories over both Gweru teams and other opponents.
Another thrilling encounter was the battle between Girls Dzetonhas with Harare District edging Harare City 54- 50.
