HIGHLANDERS coach Kelvin Kaindu is wary of Yadah midfielder Khama Billiat’s recent form ahead of the two sides’ clash in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Heart Stadium tomorrow.
The former Warriors and Kaizer Chiefs man has picked up form in the local league after a slow start since joining the Miracle Boys at the beginning of the year.
Billiat recently scored against top sides Manica Diamonds in a 1-1 draw and against FC Platinum on the same score line, both at Heart Stadium.
Yadah, however, lost 1-0 to Green Fuel in Chisumbanje last weekend and are struggling in the league.
The Miracle Boys sit on position 15 on the log table, with 15 points from just three wins, six draws and seven defeats to date.
Kaindu remained cautious of the unpredictable Billiat despite Bosso winning against Hwange last weekend after going seven matches without registering a victory.
“We go to play them at a time when Khama (Billiat) is enjoying his form in terms of scoring and is quite influential,” Kaindu said.
“He is a seasoned and very good player and given room to play, he can play. We just hope that our defence and probably the whole team, will be at their best to keep watch over him.”

The Zambian mentor rues missing goalkeeper Raphael Pitisi and midfielder Mckinnon Mushore for the Yadah game as the duo is with the Warriors in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, for the Cosafa Cup tournament.
“They have been quite instrumental, no wonder they have been selected in the national team,” Kaindu said.
“I think from the day Pitisi started playing, he has been outstanding, coming up as cover for injured Ariel (Sibanda) and Mckinnon has been very good, especially if you look at him in the last game how he helped us to play and also managed to have an assist on the goal that we scored.”
He added that Pitisi has been “consistent” in the games that he has played.
“We still want to be focused and forget about the result that we managed to get.
“We passed through a phase where we were not picking the maximum points. We are playing Yadah, a team that is unpredictable when they are playing at home.
“We want to remain focused. We have also done well when we are playing away and we want to use that to our advantage.”
