Bikita Minerals seem to have struck the right chord in the topflight and are beginning to display the exciting football that is now attracting fans.

Yesterday the team displayed a splendid perfomance  against their more fancied opponents.

In the first half, Bikita Minerals controlled the midfield with Allan Gahadzikwa, Barnabas Muchute and  Bernedict Bhera enjoying the exchanges.

The Lithium Boys were rewarded in the 44th minute when an exciting Muchute gained possession off a loose ball in the 16-yard box and cooly  beat Tanunurwa Shumba in goals for Simba Bhora.

Bikita Minerals coach, Soul Chaminuka, was a happy man.

"It always feels good to win matches and l am happy that we have collected maximum points at home. This is what we expect as a team. We should have scored more had we utilised the chances that came our way," said Chaminuka.

He paid tribute to the growing numbers of fans coming to Sakubva stadium.

"This is what the home team fans expect and we will try to do exactly what they want see and expect," he said.

Simba Bhora coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, said: "It's unfortunate that we lost game despite fighting for a win. We failed to convert chances that came our away and it is back to the drawing board to fine tune our approach."
