FORMER Warriors goalkeeper George Chigova who died in South Africa last week, is set to be laid to rest on Saturday in Chivhu.
Chigova died in his sleep at his base in South Africa having been diagnosed with a heart condition earlier this year.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
On Monday, the giant shotstopper was given a befitting send off in South Africa by players and officials, among them Khama Billiat and SuperSport chief executive officer Stan Matthews.
Family spokesperson Godfrey Bakasa confirmed to Zifa that George Chigova's body is expected to arrive in Zimbabwe today.
"A confirmed flight was booked for a 10:30am departure for Wednesday," said Bakasa.
Chigova was renowned for his goalkeeping prowess, having played for 13 seasons in Zimbabwe and South Africa respectively.
His achievements include titles with Dynamos' trailblazing class that won Premier Soccer League titles between 2011 and 2014.

A product of the ACES academy, Chigova also played for the now defunct Gunners and Polokwane City in South Africa.
He also helped the Warriors win the Cosafa Cup in 2018. Chigova was unattached at the time of his death as SuperSport United had not renewed his contract when it lapsed in June.
Chigova represented the Warriors at the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt in 2019.
