DYNAMOS and FC Platinum's slim hopes of winning the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title thinned further after playing a goalless draw in a thrilling tie at Mandava Stadium yesterday.

With log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars winning 2-1 against Sheasham, FC Platinum and Dynamos fell nine points behind with three games remaining before the curtain comes down to what has been an exciting season.

Dynamos and FC Platinum sit on 51 points apiece while Ngezi Platinum have 60 points.

Dynamos coach Genesis Mangombe was livid that his team was denied a penalty when Emmanuel Paga appeared to have been impeded inside the area. But the Ghanaian, who was already sitting on a yellow card, was shown a second and sent off for simulation in the 65th minute.

“I'm disappointed, not by the point, but particularly by how the match was handled,” Mangombe fumed. “There were some dubious calls that were made today.

“Some of the things were not real. These referees are deciding these matches. Their decisions are costing us.”

His counterpart Norman Mapeza, who also had defender Lawrence Mhlanga sent off for a second bookable offense late on, felt his men could have done better especially in the second half.

“We could have done better. We (had) chances, especially in the first half. For us, what remains is to work hard and see how the season ends. I'm overally happy with the point gained,” Mapeza said.
