Dynamos beat Caps United 2-0 on Sunday to book their spot in the final, which will be played on December 3.

NgeZi Platinum Stars coach Takesure Chiragwi is on cloud nine after guiding his team to the final of the Chibuku Super Cup via a 3-0 thrashing of Black Rhinos on Saturday.

The final, which they will contest against Dynamos at the Baobab Stadium in Ngezi, will be Chiragwi’s first.

Chiragwi, who previously coached Flame Lily and Shabanie Mine, is excited ahead of his maiden flirtation in a knockout cup final.

Dynamos beat Caps United 2-0 on Sunday to book their spot in the final, which will be played on December 3.

Although Chiragwi is still haunted by the memory of their defeat to Dynamos a fortnight ago, he is looking forward to a successful season as they are also pushing for the league title with an eight-point cushion at the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

“I’m happy that this is my first cup final as a coach, which is more important for me. It gives me more energy and motivation going forward,” Chiragwi said.

The former Shabanie Mine coach is optimistic of winning a double, knowing his team has been the most consistent this season.

“If that happens (winning the double), I’ll be more than happy because we are playing in a competition. The most important thing is improving the team.

“We improve the team so that it becomes easy to win games, we make sure that we score goals to win games and defend well to win titles,” Chiragwi added.

Ngezi Platinum are poised to win their maiden Premier Soccer League title, and with five matches remaining, they need to win at least three.

Dynamos have a game in hand in which they face Manica Diamonds at Gibbo Stadium tomorrow.

As it stands, Ngezi Platinum are on 57 points, while Dynamos have 49 points.
