WARRIORS forward Tino Kadewere is set to make an emotional reunion with former club Le Havre when his struggling French side Olympique Lyon hosts Ligue 1 newcomers in a league encounter on Sunday.
Kadewere spent two fruitful years at Le Havre after his arrival from Swedish club Djurgårdens IF in 2018 and went on to score 26 goals in 50 matches before he was snapped up by Lyon.
The 27-year-old striker remains Le Havre’s most expensive sale in the history of the club following his €12 million switch to Lyon in 2020.
But his stay at Lyon has been far from rosy, despite a promising start and has only managed 10 goals in 33 matches.
In recent years, Kadewere has struggled for game time at Lyon and was shipped out on loan to Spanish La Liga side Mallorca last year.
The Warriors striker was expected to depart Lyon during the last transfer window, but a move to either Le Havre and Montpelier failed to materialise.
Le Havre made a deadline move for the striker, but Lyon, shot of striking options following the injury to Lacazette, refused to sell him off.
Lyon could not sign another striker due to restrictions imposed on the side regarding the team's wage bill and their spending.

Kadewere has made two appearances for the club this season, including in the team's 4-1 defeat to PSG last week. He started the match but was substituted at halftime with the scoreline at 4-0.
Lyon will be looking to get their first set of three points when they host last season’s Ligue 2 champions, with Kadewere itching to punish his former paymaster.
Le Havre have had a much better start to the season as they occupy 10th place with five points from four matches.
