MR Nyamz and rapper Young Gemini have joined forces for a new track titled The Saga. The song delves into the complexities of a hidden relationship, with one partner yearning for public acknowledgment.
Mr. Nyamz sings, "Akuda kundidyira musaga," expressing frustration at being kept a secret. The term "kudyirwa musaga" is street slang for a concealed relationship where one partner is reluctant to go public, often due to commitments elsewhere.
Young Gemini counters Mr Nyamz’s plea, emphasising the need for discretion. She insists that their relationship should remain private if it's to endure.
The accompanying music video, directed by Mr Elders, is visually striking, showcasing the artists' style and charisma. The music video was named video of the week on Channel O in the past three weeks.
Mr Nyamz, born Darryl Nyamutsamba, is the managing director of Shara Hair. The company has been operating professionally for two years and currently employs seven young people. Nyamutsamba is also a former Senior Editor at SA Hip Hop Mag, South Africa's largest hip hop magazine.
Additionally, he is the co-founder of the inaugural Zim Hip Hop Summit and The African Youth Empowerment Initiative.
