The internationally acclaimed imbube/iscathamiya group, Black Umfolosi, is preparing for a one-month tour of Scotland.
The group leaves on June 11 and has its first show two days later.
Sotja Moyo, a founding member of Black Umfolosi, confirmed the details to Standard Style yesterday.
“We have embarked on our international tours again, and this time we will be touring the United Kingdom. We will be going to Scotland, England, and Wales,” he said.
“Our cast is a mix of senior members and graduates from our junior programme. It includes men and young women. The senior members include me and Austin Chisare. Luzibo Moyo, Witness Dube, and Lulamile Moyo are among the graduates from the junior programme.”
Moyo went on to say that they will present a variety of messages about the country's traditions, love, unity, peace, and other topics.

“We will be showcasing diverse messages about our traditions, love, unity, peace, the environment, and current affairs. This tour is unique because it balances the genders in the cast,” he said.
“It's also the first time our show will be dominated by young performers. The performance will be exciting, with fresh energy and messages.
“As a seasoned and well-travelled group with experience in different cultures worldwide, we never disappoint when it comes to presenting a world-class performance. Music is our lifeblood.”
