Gladly lift your somnolent eyes from this crumpling floor
And slowly cast your hesitant gaze towards the faltering fore
Listen to the air courteously because its eyes can clearly see everything here, elsewhere
Now open yours because what you shall see will wake you up from your slumber
Something that you will never see here or anywhere
There is a furious storm that is wrathfully heading towards you and us standing here
It is coming irately to guzzle the rain that your bows are aiming at us outsiders
When you look closely my Sister you will see that it is now high noon at the end of this road
The road that is replete with stifled, broken bones, burnt tyres and bodies
You will see those blank, hungry and hopeless shells over there
Scurrying for cover away from a home that has never been home even to its alleged owners
Then there is this gradual, inescapable collapse into extinction
Of this mirage you have been calling rainbow land
So too are damaged muscle tissues of the mind here and there
So in my shell I will hide
Like a cornered tortoise
Because I am afraid of the jarring sound
Of the noise that is furiously coming your variegated way
Since your sun is fading anyway
