Day-Night Security Company was the biggest winner at the 2022 edition of the Zimbabwe Business Awards after their MD and business development executive walked away with top honours while the company also won platinum in the security sector category.
The company’s MD Gospel Mudonhi won Businessman of the Year Award Security Industry, while business development executive Nicola Samantha Choga got Top Female Business Executive of the Year gong.
For their sterling business efforts and unparalleled ethics, Day-Night won Company of the Year Award Security Industry.
Speaking on the sidelines of the awards, Mudonhi said it was humbling to receive such an honour.
“We are an intergenerational family business that has for a long time invested in good work ethics and customer satisfaction,” he said.
“We give a personalised touch to our clients and we are happy that over the years we have retained old clients and attracted new ones thanks to our quality services.”

Kadoma businessman and councillor Cosmas Dhaka of Cossy Rules Investments won the Businessman of the Year Mining Industry award while his company won the Mining Company of the Year gong. Dhaka also got an honourary Doctorate Degree from the International Institute of Philanthropy.
"Operating in faraway Kadoma you always think your are far from the epicenter in terms of business and these awards and recognition are quite humbling,” Dhaka said.
“We thank Zimbawe Business Awards for this acknowledgement and we feel encouraged to continue doing more.”
Other winners included Tinashe Changweya of Fumati Engineers, whose company won Engineering Company of the Year award, while he got Businessman Entrepreneur of the Year.
Nyasha Chikosi, whose company Preeminence Hardware won Company of the Year award in the Hardware Industry category while he got Businessman Entrepreneur of the year Hardware industry.
Fast-rising entrepreneur Aaron Kumanja of Realtor Ville Real Estate won Businessman of the Year award, Real Estate sector while his company won Real Estate company of the year.
PFN Solar Systems won Renewable Energy Company of the Year while the founder and MD Fawen Nyakudya won Businessman of the Year Award in the same category.
Brand strategist and corporate communications expert Takemore Mazuruse of Esteem Communications won the Businessman of the year Communications, PR and Media award while his company won the Company of the Year Communications, PR and Media award.
Executive chairman of the Zimbabwe Business Awards Enrico Maverick pledged to continue honouring doers as a way to promote excellence and productivity.
"The Zimbabwe Business Awards are a celebration of excellence and we are happy to honour the top companies and executives of 2022,” he said.
