Kadoma-based property development company — Craft Properties Holdings — marks 15 years of service this month.

The company through its CEO Kudakwashe Taruberekera, has won various accolades and received global recognitions.

In 2022 Taruberekera was nominated for the IBI winner 2022 Europe in the Leaders of the Year and Social Responsibility categories.

In living up to its nomination under the Social Responsibility Category, the property developer donated 7 400 square metres of blocks of flats to 240 underprivileged families as part of its 15-year anniversary celebrations.

The donation does not only benefit the underprivileged, but it is also for the elderly people.

The company has initiated a pilot poultry project targeting to provide at least 1 000 chicks, veterinary medicines and skockfeeds for 20 widows in Kadoma.

In its 15 years of service, the company has undertaken major housing and construction projects, aiming to ease the housing backlog in the country.

Speaking at the 15th anniversary celebrations in Kadoma recently, business strategist Langton Mabhanga, who was the guest of honour, said the company’s growth was anchored on sound values.

“The company's survival and growth for the past 15 years was anchored on sound values of hard work, honesty and dedication,” said Mabhanga.

“Through Craft Properties, Professor Kudakwashe Taruberekera donated residential stands in Kadoma, which shall be used in the construction of high rise residential flats for the underprivileged and people with disability in the society.

“The residential stands are to benefit an estimated 240 families.

“This is in support of the government of Zimbabwe’s initiative in the provision of decent and affordable houses to the people of Zimbabwe in fulfilment of the attainment of an Upper Middle Income economy by the year 2030.”

Mabhanga added that if the poultry project which is to be launched at the end of this month, becomes a success, Craft Properties will expand it to support more underprivileged women.

“If the project becomes successful, Craft Properties will expand it to support more underprivileged women in society,” he said.

“Coordinators of the project are already surveying for suitable places ahead of launch at the end of May.”
