Zimdancehall sensation Winky D, born Wallace Chirumiko, has been nominated in two categories at the All Africa Music Award (Afrima) 2022.
Winky D was nominated for the Best Male Artist in Southern Africa and Best Artist in African Reggae-Dancehall together with fellow artiste Nutty O.
Nutty O’s song Handipere Power was selected alongside Winky D’s Happy Again in the African Reggae-Dancehall category.
The Gaffa President was once again nominated with his song Happy Again under the Best Male Artist in Southern Africa category.
Having a double nomination in Afrima shows that Winky D is indeed a cut above the rest as he is raising the Zimdancehall flag higher.
Winky D will battle for honours for the Best Male Artist in Southern Africa category with South African DJ and record producer Kabza De small and Master KG, among other African stars.
