BLACK RHINOS….0

YADAH FC caught the eye with an entertaining brand of football despite failing to collect maximum points against army side Black Rhinos at the Baobab Stadium yesterday.

The Walter Magaya-owned team lost a number of key players during the transfer window, but seem to be strong enough to compete this season.

With a bit of composure, the Miracle Boys could have grabbed three points.

“It was a game of high intensity. We created chances and we failed to convert, but the opponents also had chances which they missed.

“I am happy that were created chances and at the same time we didnt concede,” Yadah coach Genesis Mangombe said after the match.

Yadah dominated the early exchanges and could have taken the lead in the 10th minute after forward Kudakwashe Mangami broke free in the box but blazed the ball over the bar.

However, Yadah goalkeeper Richard Chiminga kept his team in the match diving low to deny Denzel Mutudza’s angled shot.

Yadah, picked up from where they left off in the first half as the Rhinos goalkeeper went airborne to deny Godknows’ cracking from 30 yards out 10 minutes into the second half.

Black Rhinos finished the stronger of the two teams, piling on the pressure late in the game but Yadah stood firm.

“It was a close game. They came hard on us especially in the first 20 minutes and we managed to contain them. After that we managed to play our normal game

“I am happy we have a new team, which I think in the next three or four games will be good,” Black Rhinos coach Hebert Maruwa said
