BY COURAGE NYAYA Black Rhinos coach Herbert Maruwa says he is looking to strength his squad when the transfer window opens next month.
The army side is having one of its best seasons in the league in years as it currently occupies seventh spot on the log table.
A run of five games unbeaten has seen Chauya Chipembere closing the gap on log leaders to just nine points after 15 rounds of matches.
They have 22 points and could move into third place if they win their match against WhaWha this weekend and results elsewhere go in their favour.
While their name might not be mentioned when discussions to do with league title hopefuls are made, Maruwa’s side has made positive strides in the past few weeks.
He is satisfied with his team’s performance so far, but feels it can do better with a few more signings to strengthen the squad.

Already, Rhinos they have snapped up Dennis Dauda, who was fired from Caps United for allegedly leading a strike, with the defender set to be registered when the transfer window opens.
“We need to strengthen our team in all departments. The squad is good, but we need to add one or two players who can freshen up the team,” Maruwa said.
“Already, we have added Dennis Dauda in our books, and he is going to add value to the team. It is always difficult to find such quality players like Dauda at this stage of the season and we are glad we managed to get him. We are looking forward to pushing him so that he can focus on his game. We want to take him back to where he belongs, which is the national team set-up.”
