ZIMBABWE Cricket (ZC) have clinched a lucrative sponsorship deal with Mukuru as the new shirt sponsor for all formats of the game.

The deal, valued at US$300 000, will run until December 2025.

The game-changing partnership was signed at Harare Sports Club yesterday and will see Mukuru Financial Services brand being displayed on the front of the senior men’s national team’s One-Day International shirts, the T20Is and Test cricket attire.

ZC chairperson Tavengwa Mukuhlani, who was present at the signing ceremony together with Givemore Makoni, the association’s managing director, said this engagement with Mukuru signifies a shared vision of the development of cricket in the country.

“This colloboration signifies more than just a sponsorship, it represents shared values, a shared vision and a commitment to the future of cricket in Zimbabwe,” said Mukuhlani.

“Mukuru’s decision to support the national men’s cricket team is a powerful endorsement of the potential and promise that Zimbabwean cricket holds.”

He added that the sponsorship underscores Mukuru's commitment to uplifting local talent and strengthening the communities they serve.

“For players, this sponsorship is more than just a logo on their shirts. It’s a symbol of belief in their talent and potential,” he said.

“It’s a reminder that they carry not only the hopes of a nation but also the support of a trusted partner as they compete on the global stage.”

Mukuru chief executive Doug Tate-Knight said although he never managed to unlock his cricket schools, his children show lots of promise and looks up to the Chevrons.

“We are not only announcing a partnership, but also celebrating a common goal. Our mission as a leading financial services provider has been to empower not only customers, but our communities which we are proudly a part of,” Tate-Knight said.

“Through this partnership, Mukuru is investing in, not just the Chevrons, but also in Zimbabwe’s future — supporting the growth of cricket at every level, from grassroots to the international stage.”
