FC PLATINUM reduced the gap between them and current PSL leaders Simba Bhora to six points after their convincing 3-0 win over Yadah FC at Mandava stadium yesterday.

Oscar Bhebhe, Wilfred Muvirimi and Devine Mhindirira scored the all important goals as the Zvishavane side bounced back to winning ways after five weeks of indifferent results.

Moreso, they benefited from Herentals' 1-0 win over Simba Bhora at Rufaro stadium.

And as it stands Simba Bhora remained fixated on 60 points while FC Platinum leaped to 54 points.

With four games left to play, FC Platinum still retain hope of overtaking Simba Bhora in the title race and their convincing performance against Yadah FC was telling.

Coach Norman Mapeza  was on cloud nine. The veteran gaffer believes the PSL title is still within their grasp.

"We had a good game of football. We controlled everything. If you look at the scoreline, maybe we could have scored more," Mapeza said.

"After what happened last week, in Hwange we were all down, having led 2-0 and then end up conceding two goals. But I said to the boys, its not yet over. Let us keep believing.

"I'm happy because the boys have worked so hard for this. I'm pleased with this. We are going to take each game as it comes, we can only say its over maybe in the last two games. We need to fight and believe."

They started the match with so much energy, with Mhindirira pulling strings in the midfield while Oscar Bhebhe roved on the wings.

The duo combined well on the 11th minute, when Mhindirira threaded a precise low pass to Bhebhe who was unmarked in the box, with the latter slotting the ball home with ease.

Nine minutes later Bhebhe had his effort was parried by Yadah's goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya but Muvirimi was quick to react on the rebound, to extend FC Platinum's lead.

Mhindirira added his name on the scoresheet after tapping the ball home from Jarrison Selemani's well executed cross.

That was his first goal for FC Platinum. As a result, the four-time Champions went to the break leading 3-0. In the end, FC Platinum won by the same scoreline.

Yadah coach Thomas Ruzive cut a sombre figure as he was disappointed by how his team applied themselves throughout the match.
