The trial of Zimbabwe women’s football team coach Shadreck Mlauzi charged with indecent assault was postponed when he appeared before magistrate Ethel Chichera yesterday.
The matter was postponed on the basis that Mlauzi has a new lawyer who needed to familiarise with the matter to prepare for defence and they will be back in court on December 12.
Mlauzi was previously cross-examined in the absence of his lawyers and denied the charges levelled against him.
He indicated that he was watching soccer on television and he was the one who asked the alleged victim to leave his room and purchase resistant bands.
He admitted that he admired his alleged victim, who is a member of the technical team, but said that complainant might have got emotional after Mlauzi demanded more from his team after a review session.
The female coach alleged that Mlauzi tried to kiss her but she managed to free herself and leave the room.

It is alleged that the complainant went to Mlauzi’s room to collect money and some equipment for training and the coach touched her backside.
She said at first she feared that she would lose her job if she reported the matter.
