A total of 24 players took part in the Association of Mine Managers of Zimbabwe golf tournament which was played at Elephant Hills Golf Club in Victoria Falls last Saturday.
The event was part of a successful four-day Association of Mine Managers Zimbabwe (AMMZ) annual general meeting and conference which saw men and women running the day to day mining operations in Zimbabwe converge in Victoria Falls.
Hosted under the Theme ‘Zimbabwean Mining Landscape - Transition Towards the Present-Day 4th IR’, the AMMZ AGM and Conference ended on Sunday.
The pair of Pearce Dekunye and Arthunecious Dembedza won the competition with a total of 60 points while T Hodzi and Gideon Mahleka were a distant second after amassing 53 points in the 18 holes contest.
Despite finishing in fifth in the pairs contest, How Mine’s Nobert Ndiweni claimed the highest individual score of the competition after finishing the competition with 36 points.
There were also longest drive accolades for Mahleka and David Matyanga while Levison Ndlovu scooped the nearest pin hole award.
