HIGHLANDERS will seek a change of fortunes in their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter with Simba Bhora this afternoon. Nothing short of a win will diminish Bosso’s chances of winning the title.
Bosso hit the road to the Baobab Stadium in Ngezi hoping for a win having picked up one point from their last two matches.
The Baltemar Brito-coached side settled for a share of spoils against Sheasham on Wednesday following a defeat to Hwange on Sunday.
With 45 points on their tally, they have fallen six points behind table toppers Ngezi Platinum Stars who have a tough cookie against FC Platinum today.
At one point Highlanders enjoyed an eight point cushion at the top having gone on an 19 games unbeaten run. But, they have since lost three matches and are most likely to forfeit points in their abandoned tie against DeMbare.
Bosso cannot afford to see the rot persist as they aim to end a 17 year wait for a league title.

They are in for a tough contest against a team that has lost once in their last five matches and desperate to create a buffer with the drop zone.
Simba Bhora are two points above the danger zone and are smarting from a defeat to Cranborne Bullets in midweek.
The two teams played out to a goalless draw in the reverse fixture at Barbourfields.
Both teams have struggled for goals this season as they have each scored 19 from 25 matches and will hope to improve their chance conversion.
Highlanders still have the best defensive record in the league having let in just 10 goals. But, they would be worried that they have not kept a clean sheet in the last six matches.
