A bus carrying Herentals FC fans was involved in accident on its way to Kariba where the team eventually lost to host ZPC Kariba by a solitary Moses Demera strike at Nyamhunga yesterday.
The accident occurred 40km outside Makuti and one club official told this publication that some of the fans were injured and taken to Kariba hospital.
It could not be immediately ascertained if there were fatalities and what caused the accident.
Kariba coach Luke Masomere was happy with the win nevertheless.
"I am extremely happy for winning the match after going for five games without even scoring a goal," said Masomere.
"I was missing a lot of my regular players through injuries and suspensions, but today it was a different story all together. We are going to continue playing good football so that at least we survive relegation," he added.

It was a tightly contested match but the hosts missed a chance early on through Foster Dhemere.
Tino Benza wasted a chance to put Herentals in front.
In the 73rd minute, ZPC Kariba took the lead as Demera turned home a Takudzwa Mahori freekick.
Herentals coach Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva said the news of the accident dampened their spirits.
"It was so sad when we heard about the accident during the warm-up period. Our spirits became low and probably half contributed to the loss.
"Well done to ZPC Kariba for winning the match. Not that we didn't play well but we could not score," he said.
