Craig Ervine belted a century and half to help Zimbabwe Select post a seven wicket victory over touring Pakistan A in their fourth cricket One Dayer at Harare Sports Club yesterday.
Zimbabwe Select, who are using the seven-match series to prepare for the International Cricket Council World Cup qualifier next month, lead the series 3-1.
For the first time in this series the visitors batted first and Zimbabwe were tested at chasing a challenging score after Pakistan A set their hosts a victory target of 296.
Zimbabwe responded to the challenge by achieving the target in 47.3 overs as they ended on 299 for 3.
Ervine, who scored 161 before he was caught behind off the bowling of Aamer Jamal, collaborated with opener Joylord Gumbie (111) for 277 runs in their second wicket stand.
The national team skipper cracked 19 fours and four sixes in his brilliant knock while Gumbie had ten boundaries in his 124 ball knock.

After the Zimbabwe Select lost Ervine and Gumbie, Wessly Madhevere (9 not out) and Milton Shumba (3 not out) saw the home side home.
Earlier Brad Evans took a five wicket haul for the Zimbabwe Select side, but Pakistan A's Omair Yousuf stole the limelight with 153 runs off 126 deliveries.
He hit 14 fours and four maximums as Pakistan used up all of their 50 overs to reach 295 and they looked like they had done enough to win.
Kamran Ghulam weighed in with 55 runs from 79 balls hitting the fence five times.
Wellington Masakadza took two wickets while seamers Blessing Muzarabani and Victor Nyauchi shared two scalps.
The next match will be played at the same venue on Thursday.
