WARRIORS midfield grafter Marvelous Nakamba is slowly starting to reap rewards for his patience and hard work at Luton Town in the England Championship. The 29-year-old won his first Player of the Month award after some impressive performances since he joined on loan from Aston Villa. He beat his teammate, defender Tom Lockyer by just two votes.
The Zimbabwe international has been instrumental for the club having helped strengthen their defence.
The Bantu Rovers product is enjoying his stay at the Hatters who are chasing at least a promotion play-off place.
His stay at Aston Villa turned into a nightmare when Steven Gerrard was sacked. New coach Unai Emery pushed him out.
He seems to be back on track, with Luton Town coach Rob Edwards describing him as a “Duracell battery”.
His performances have also left fans buzzing as he continues to impress and it will come as no surprise if the club decides to permanently sign him.

Since Nakamba’s arrival, Luton have been watertight at the back. They only conceded two goals from open play in the last 14 games, which has been attributed to Nakamba’s effectiveness.
They last tasted defeat on February 18 to Burnley who recently gained promotion back into the English Premier League.
Luton Town fans have described Nakamba as “classy” and “powerful” since his first outing in a Luton shirt against Stoke City.
