BULAWAYO giants Highlanders will this morning leave for Plumtree to play two practice matches with Division One side Mainline as they continue fine-tuning ahead of the start of the 2023 Castle Lager Premier Soccer league season.
Club spokesperson Nozibelo Maphosa confirmed the trip.
“We continue with our practice matches and tomorrow morning we leave for Plumtree where we will play two practice matches with Mainline at Dingumuzi Stadium in the afternoon and we are being hosted there by Plumtree chapter supporters,” Maphosa said.
Coach Baltemar Brito is still assessing TelOne defender Marvelous Chigumira who scored a brace in one of the practice matches they played against Bulawayo Chiefs at White City’s B Arena Stadium on Wednesday.
The match ended 4-2 in favour of Highlanders with the other two goals coming from Stanley Ngala.
Highlanders have also taken their training camp to Beitbridge where they have played two Division One sides in the border town and to Gweru where they played a goalless draw with PSL newcomers, Sheasham.
