A FARM security guard is in trouble after he set dogs on a 10-year-old boy, causing him grievous bodily harm.
The court heard that on October 12, the complainant and his friends went to Luipaardsvlei farm in Mukono village, Chipinge to steal macadamia nuts.
They sneaked into the farm by stretching the fence to gain entry.
The security guard Daniel Simango (44) confronted the young boys before setting his dog on them.
The dog mauled the 10-year old several times on the left thigh and on his private parts, leaving him nursing serious injuries.
Simango was sentenced to 14 months in jail of which seven were suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour.
