A seven year-old boy from Norton was mauled to death by two vicious dogs that went on to bite off his private parts.
This emerged at the Harare Magistrates court last week where the owners of the dogs, Lloyd Sibanda (35) and Cuthbert Mpame (63), were facing culpable homicide charges.
Magistrate Clever Tsikwa, however, acquitted the duo of the charges.
The court heard that on October 5, 2022, the child residing at Plot 41 Skey farm in Norton left home to fetch some water.
He did not return on time prompting his grandmother Otilia Murwira to look for him.
Along the way, Murwira saw two dogs licking the body of the now deceased on the private parts.

Murwira then positively identified the dogs as those of Plot 17 Skey farm, Norton.
She chased away the dogs and they ran towards Mpame’s farm.
The body had no private parts after they were bitten off and allegedly eaten by the dogs.
