A Chitungwiza man was on Friday granted a protection order from his estranged wife and her parents after they allegedly threatened him with death.
Last Charuma told Harare magistrate Johanna Mukwesha that his in-laws, Casten Busha and Daphine Busha were conniving with their daughter Fungai Chirige to disturb his peace since last year.
Charuma said he was forced to relocate from Chitungwiza to stay in Hopley after he was approached by strangers threatening to kill him.
He said his wife and relatives were sending the strangers as he had confirmed through her sister, who confronted them.
Casten, who did not oppose the application, however, denied threatening Charuma saying he was recently granted bail at the criminal courts after the applicant reported him, his wife and daughter to the police.
Mukwesha granted Charuma the protection order.
