A 39 year-old Harare woman is allegedly on the run after ‘raping’ a teenage boy and infecting him with a sexually transmitted disease.
The woman, Portia Tsivai Tapi (39), was employed as a maid in Rusape where she allegedly committed the offence.
Part of her duties included taking care of an octogenarian.
NewDay heard that the woman is now pregnant following the sexual escapades she allegedly had with the boy aged 16.
Family members told NewsDay that the woman would order the teenage boy to watch pornographic movies before forcing herself on him.
She allegedly eloped two months ago.

"This happened for eight months and we knew nothing about it," a family member said.
“My mother (name supplied) was the one who first suspected that something was happening, but she would deny everything when questioned.”
The incident was exposed after the teenage boy got infected with syphilis.
“He confirmed the sexual assault after he was questioned by my grandmother. We then filed a police report.”
The case was reported at Mabvuku police station (RRB number CR104/4/24) as the woman had fled the homestead to Harare.
However, the case was transferred back to Rusape police where the charges occurred.
“We would ask the maid about everything but she would deny the allegations,” a family member said.
“Neighbours would tell me that my mother is always crying because she was also in the habit of stealing some household goods.
“We heard that she once spiked my grandmothers’ food with marijuana. She has been on the run since.”
In another audio in possession of NewsDay, the woman instead claimed that she was in a relationship with the teenager.
“l always told him that you are still a minor and I do not want that,” she is heard saying in an audio she sent to the family.
“He forced me until he won, and did what he wanted until I was pregnant. I told him that I was pregnant and he insisted that we should hide the truth.”
The woman said she is three months pregnant.
“The pregnancy is there and I am accepting that, and the pregnancy is now three months,” she said.
“It’s only that I was afraid of the police which you wanted to involve. I am saying this today because I want to be free. What I can say is that he raped me.”
However, family members accused the maid of having sex with an underage boy.
“She’s supposed to pay for her actions,” one family member said.
Police said they are investigating the case.
