A former Chitungwiza municipality housing director, who is serving time for corruption, was back in court on Friday facing more charges.
Alex Mukweva, who once served as the acting housing director, is now facing charges of allocating housing stands without following proper procedures.
Mukweva will return to court on June 6 for routine remand.
Prosecutor Anesu Chirenje said sometime in 2018, Mukweva working withformer ward 11 councillor Sten Warikandwa unlawfully allocated six residential stands.
The beneficiaries were not on the Chitungwiza housing waiting list.
It is alleged that by so doing, Mukweva violated the Urban Councils Act as well as the Chitungwiza council housing policy.
