In a bid to solve the water crisis in the community of Epworth North, The newly elected Member of Parliament, Hon. Zivai Mhetu has sought an alternative to mitigate water problems in the constituency.
As a short-term stop gap, Mhetu has introduced an invovative project of installing multifaceted water points that the community can collect water from.He said this was a temporary measure, while in the long term he plans to have tap water in every home in Epworth.
"These boreholes are just short term solution to our water crisis, while we are in the process of getting water supply into our homes" Mhetu said
He guaranteed the community that water will be a problem of the past in the community in the near future as he already knows where the water supply will come from.
"We have already lined up a partnership with Marondera municipal to get our water from them. Our water won't come from Harare but from Marondera which will ensure that we have a steady supply" Mhetu said
In a pursuit to improve the lives of the people Epworth, Mhetu continues to implement a number of projects in his constituency.
