TWO people died and 43 others were injured along the Bulawayo-Gwanda road when an Inter Africa bus travelling from Mutare heading to Bulawayo veered off the road and overturned at uMguza bridge on Saturday.
Bulawayo acting Fire Brigade officer Mhlangano Moyo confirmed the accident yesterday.
He said the bus had 50 passengers on board.
Moyo said the injured were taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals and Mpilo hospital.
“The area was slippery soon after it rained. This is the third incident in the same area within a week,” he said.
“At one point we were called to decontaminate the area when there was an oil spill and we had to engage the Environment Management Agency.
