Ncube and Nyamasakura had been living together for about two years.
Nyamasakura had left Ncube at home going to work.
Ncube then stole the money and left the house.
Nyamasakura returned home later in the day and when she tried to call Ncube on his cellphone, he was not reachable.
This made Nyamasakura suspicious.
She then checked under the mattress to see if her money was there, and found that it was missing.
Also missing were Ncube’s clothes.
Nyamasakura reported the matter to the police and Ncube was only arrested after his return from South Africa.
