A MATOBO man has been slapped with a 20-year jail term for raping his daughter (17).
The 39-year-old accused last week appeared at the Gwanda Magistrates Court facing a charge of rape.
The prosecution said sometime in June last year, the daughter was at home cleaning her room when her father entered without knocking.
The court heard that the father accused her daughter of having sexual relations with other men instead of fulfilling her sexual desires with him.
He then raped her.
The complainant screamed for help and he threatened to kill her.

After the incident, the complainant confided in her mother about the offence.
Her mother advised her to take the matter up with her aunt.
The offence only came to light when the police received a tip off, leading to the arrest of the father.
