A 45 year-old Plumtree man murdered his colleague at a party following a dispute over an outstanding undisclosed matter.
Owen Dube died a day after being attacked with a knobkerrie by Calbert Mpofu (29).
The matter came to light at the Plumtree magistrates courts on Thursday when Mpofu appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Nembaware remanded Mpofu in custody to December 21 and advised him to apply for bail at the High Court.
Prosecutor Selestine Madziwa alleged that on December 9 the duo met at a party and a misunderstanding arose over an old dispute.
Mpofu assaulted the now deceased with a knobkerrie before disappearing into the dark.
