A 54-YEAR-OLD woman from Makokoba in Bulawayo has appeared in court facing two charges of domestic violence after a nasty fallout with her ex-husband over an alleged extra marital affair.
Lindi Mhlanga pleaded guilty when she appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Nomagugu Maphosa on Monday.
She was remanded in custody to November 6 this year.
The complainant is Simiso Sydney Khumalo who is the accused’s ex-husband.
The court heard that on the evening of October 15, Mhlanga phoned Khumalo so that they could discuss a case he reported to the police against his ex-wife.
It is the State’s case that the two met at Mhlanga’s residence where they had a misunderstanding and she tried to stab Khumalo on the head.

Khumalo blocked the attack but was cut between the thumb and forefinger of the left arm.
Mhlanga had also allegedly bitten Khumalo on his left palm and he wasreferred to the hospital for medical treatment.
On the second count, the court heard that on September 17, Mhlanga and Khumalo were at a party in Makokoba where he started accusing his ex-wife of having extra marital affairs.
A misunderstanding arose between the two which resulted in Mhlanga stabbing her ex-husband on the head once with a kitchen knife.
Khumalo was referred to hospital for medical examination.
A report was made to the police leading to Mhlanga's arrest.
